Bill Hennessy of MAREA Receives NABCEP Certification
MAREA Exec. Director Bill Hennessy (left) leads a solar installation workshop at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA.
Bill is now one of only 10 NABCEP certified PV Installers in the entire state of Pennsylvania. This credential assures his placement on the qualified installers list for PA’s new solar rebate program, when it comes out.

Some sunny news on this year's PA solar rebate program:

For photovoltaic's (grid-tied solar only), rebates of $2 to $2.50/installed watt are being considered, up to a maximum of 10kw. Solar hot water, which has the quickest payback for renewables, will have a 25 percent match--up to $2,000 for residential and $20,000 for small business.
Grants will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis to approved applications. Households are eligible to receive on PV and one solar hot water grant. |
